Carlo Angelo Saavedra, The Philippines. Sometimes inspired by poetry, the artist, who normally works in oil on canvas, allows the fingers holding the brush to paint intuitively.  Sometimes his paintings are finished on the edges of the frame, or he uses old canvases or other objects to give them a new interpretation, and a new life.   With his spontaneous artistic intuition he creates works of art with spectacular speed and enthusiasm.
Phi Phi Oanh, Vietnam. By selecting the natural Vietnamese lacquer (Son Ta) as a base, Phi Phi Oanh creates large format, visually descriptive installations in large spaces which make references to Asian and Western history of art as well as the confluence of art with the spiritual.
